Introducing the Future CEO of Country Time...

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day. We got home from preschool, and after lunch, TJ decided he wanted to go outside and play. Of course, I was working away at the computer. He kept coming in and out of the house, taking things out. When I finally looked up to see what he was doing, I discovered that he had made a pitcher of lemonade, all by himself, found some paper cups, and had set up his own little lemonade stand outside.

So, I went out to see. He pulled a cooler from the garage to use as a table. He pulled an old car seat out to sit on, and he made himself a little sign on which he drew a pitcher of pink lemonade. And he sat out there all day. For probably 4 hours. I finally had to make him clean up everything around 5:00 and come inside.

But, he brought in his little cup of money and showed me that he'd made $4. Four dollars! That was charging a quarter per cup. I was so impressed with my little entrepreneur, and his initiative.

That kid will go places. I have no doubt.

Judging by the picture, it looks like he charged his sister too much. She's not happy!

That is so funny. I love their willing attitude of can do...

We had some kids one time, in the neighborhood that was doing a lemonade stand. The kids had also gone into their garage and grabbed 2 cases of beer. They were saling lemonade for 25 cents and Corona beer for 75 cents. Of course we told the homeowners, but I just imagined all the 12 year old boys that was whooping it up somewhere.

I wish I could teach certain children the value of work. Ugh!

I LOVE the car seats! Guess that's one way to stay comfy while working. So cute...and I can't believe he knew how to make the lemonade. Impressive!

What a cutie! How old is he? My kids liked doing this when they were little too. Not much money ever came of it but they had fun anyway.

Wow! What a great little business man! I remember doing a lemonade stand once and a truck driver stopped and bought the whole pitcher. It was a great sale, but it ended our little business venture.

That is GREAT. Never to early to teach a child the "value" of a hard earned quarter. Donald Trump move on over ---Besides, he will have much better HAIR.

My 7 yr old really wants us to build him a lemonade stand. I think it would do well right next to the golf course we live on.

Too cute. And Jan's story is funny!

We need to hook our boys up.

They could achieve total global domination.
