It's Beginning to Look alot like Christmas!

When we left this morning to drive the monkeys to school it was raining/sleeting. By the time I dropped everyone off, and made it across town to go to the gym, it was a full on blizzard!

December is the only time of the year, that I actually get excited to see snow. Suddenly, it actually feels like Christmas to me! It's really put me in the holiday mood, today.
I'm happy to see the snow. (Not happy that I'll probably have to shovel it even though it's not a lot because our house is North facing and it won't melt).

So, while I was driving around my little town today, I remembered I had my camera in my purse and decided to take some pictures of the winter wonderland.
This is my signature take on photography. My best pictures happen to come out from rolling my window down and taking pictures out the window while I'm driving. Don't worry, I'm incredibly good at looking at the road and NOT at what I'm photographing, so as not to endanger others on the road.
Here are my best ones:

While I was getting gas, a horse pasture across the street

This field is on my Grandparent's property.

The farm next to the above field

The road on my way to the gym

The bank across the parking lot from my gym.

I'm glad you have such a good attitude about the snow! I really love the snow when I can just stay inside but when I have to drive in it I just get stressed out!

Living in southern Utah, I haven't seen any snow yet. I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I almost took a picture of the snow, too, but can't find my camera! And we don't have as much as you (yet.)

I heard "The most wonderful time of the year" on the radio and thought, "I hope Sher gets in the holiday mood soon!" So I'm glad that for today, the snow has helped you. =D

It is all to beautiful to even comprehend. I am a big snow lover. Except when it starts to melt and gets muddy. But I love it. Those poor horses. I always feel for the animals.

I'm feeling the love too! Like you, this is the only time of the month I enjoy snow. I'm excited that we're getting something before Christmas and I hope it sticks through the holidays! Beautiful pictures and you live in a beautiful town with horse pastures!

I was thinking the same thing: SNOW FINALLY! I picked up my son from school a little late today. He's been dying for the snow to get here, and I worried he'd be annoyed that he had to wait in the cold. Instead, he got into the car with a grin on his face and said, "It's snowing!"

(And yeah, been there with the north-facing house. Inches of ice to contend with, while the neighbors across the street were melted dry. One major reason we picked SW facing this time!)

Love the pictures. Especially the farm and animals. I like the snow for about a week or two, and around Christmas time. Maybe I'll have to come visit.

Okay, I can't believe I'm saying this, but your snow photos are actually making me miss Utah. I don't like snow! So how is it that I am feeling so nostalgic looking at these.

I can relate with finally getting into the Christmas spirit because of the snow. I listened to Christmas music for the first time yesterday while driving through the snow.
