You Can Call Me Elphaba

I think I'm turning into the Wicked Witch of the West.

And, ironically, NOT because of the amount of yelling I've done at my kids this week. (That alone would qualify me, I'm sure)

Today, I discovered two little black hairs growing out of my chin. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I'm growing whiskers. Sick! Seriously!

I mean, I've always said that I have more testosterone that the average woman. Mainly because of my ginormous "man arms", and that I'm uber competitive.

But whiskers? This is getting a little ridiculous.

Actually, now that I think about it I'm not sure that the Wicked witch even has chin hair. Just a giant mole, I think. I don't know.

I haven't even seen "Wicked." And my hubby TRIED to get my tickets for Christmas, but they were sold out before he could buy them. I know, I'm sooo bummed. Maybe, if I give my first born, we could afford to buy some from scalpers.

So, needless to say, those two little hairs got the tweeze.

Anyway, so, am I alone in the world? Please tell me there are other bearded ladies out there.

Please......

Did you not read my bearded woman post last week! Except that mine are PATCHES. On my neck wattle. No tweezers are going to help.

Ha! Yes, I would be one of those ladies! I always thought I was lucky that I don't have a lot of leg or armpit hair, now I am finding I wish I had it there, rather than on my face!!!

i have two little hairs on my chinny chin chin, too. Well, they seem to appear out of no where, one minute they are gone the next day a long sucker! It gets tweezed. But, I am always checking just in case, they decide to activate miracle grow.

Ah Sher, I love how you keep it real! You are such a beautiful woman that I am glad to know you have some achilles hairs!

Yes. It's embarrassing. Which is why I'm remaining anonymous. 1 peskery one, but I'm sure it will have friends soon. :P Getting older sucks.

It is so normal. I have 2 man hairs on my chin too. I laugh hard when Ed sees me pluck them and then go poke him with it. They are sharp little devils. I know it is the worst to discover, but at least your not going bald right.

Yes. There are bearded ladies. But, I have only ever seen them in the circus.

Actually, now that I think about it, I once worked with a lady that had a mustache... for reals. I am SO not making this up. It was really hard to talk to her face to face, cause I always started to laugh.

Ugh. Yes, I get those hairs, too. I have since my 20s. They are thick and stiff and black (I"m naturally a dark blond--I dye my hair brown) . But thankfully they only come one or two at a time, so I can tweeze them no problem. I have even gotten one or two of those on my upper lip over the years. Again, ugh.

WV= redned Ned might be a red neck if ... his wife is plucking hairs from her chin.

Man Sher, now I know what is coming when I turn 30!Man!
By the way about your driving in the snow post. I like it to. I really love the sound if crunching snow beneath my tires which I only can here when I am driving slow wiht radio off and kids quiet, so not very often, and making tire tracks too and splash in those huge puddles when it rains, I don't know why I find it so amusing. I guess we're both immature. Must be a Jensen thing.

Did I ever tell you about the time that Melissa and I were in the Wendy's drive thru? Melissa was 2 and a half and the lady at the window had a bit of a facial hair problem. Melissa yells out from the back seat, "Hey mom! is that a boy or a girl I can't tell?" I could not pay fast enough... And for the record, I haven't ever noticed any sort of manlyness to you ever! Other than your taste in Rambo books! My word verification: undies

Wicked the play is totally worth being sold out and worth scrounging for scalpers tickets...I LOVE LOVE that play! :)

Sorry about the hairs...haven't found any yet on me, but then again haven't really looked, plus I have a gazillion freckles and they kind of hide things! :)

let me just say, you are NOT alone-I'm not saying I've got them, just saying there are women that do!
Course, maybe I don't have them because I have my face waxed once a month and that wouldn't be because I have hairs on my face at all...no not me! :-) I'm just saying!

I am totally cracking up over your driving in the snow post down below. Love it. Definitely don't come to Vegas when it snows, we were doing like 15 miles per hour on the freeway yesterday.
My mom has the little hairs growing from her chin, so I know it's just a matter of time before I get them too. You're definitely not alone. :o)

*raising my hand and bowing my head in shame*

I hunt them down regularly and I am lucky to have a very good light in the bathroom.
