Are you fighting the winter blues? I know I have been! One thing I know for sure, is that exercise is the one thing the really works for me.
So, today, it's Saturday! Get outside, and do something physical. Get your heart pumping. Breath some fresh air, and see the sun (or clouds) for a few minutes.
Get your family bundled up and go sledding, or go for a little walk. Or if you think it's just way too cold outside, then do 25 jumping jacks in your living room. Or rearrange some furniture. Or vacuum. ANYTHING to get your heart rate up!
You'll be amazed at how much better, happier, and more energized you feel, even after 5 minutes.

You are kind of awesome. We will go put our snow clothes on RIGHT NOW!
Does sitting in a warm movie theater, shoving my face with popcorn count?
Does shopping count? I hope so.
It gets my heart rate up just looking at that photo--does that count?
I guess I'll have to get off the computer first, right? Okay. I'm gonna do it.
Yeah! I shoveled the driveway, cleaned the shower, AND vacuumed! Go me!
Does traipsing around about 5 furniture stores count as exercise? Yes? Good! I did that today.
You are so wicked awesome!
It says you posted at 4:30 a.m. I am just hoping that is a post ahead kind of thing because no one should be up that early. And yeah, it was just WAY TO COLD to even think about going outside. My kids thought about sledding in our backyard for maybe all of two minutes after one of them bravely tested the outside air.
Nice advice today. I'm all over it, or rather, was all over it.
2.5 hours at the gym, cleaning at home, wrestling the chunch until naptime. Grocery shopping ala chunch wrestling..... definitely got my heart rate up and endorphins released! And the best part it? ALL IN DOORS!!!
Shopping totally counts, and Kristina? ummmmm......Did you walk from your car to the theater door? Ok, I guess that can count, too.
You're so right about this. I've just started up again (my PF is finally abaiting a little). I'm hoping to get my hubby going on the exercise because it helps his anxiety/depression issues so much when he does.
The good news is that he just fixed the exercise bike in the basement so now neither one of us has the 'it's too cold' excuse.
I'd love to get us all out tubing but it's tough to get my people out of the house~!
I'm glad you're feeling a little more upbeat- but I'll like you no matter if you are up or down.
Congratulations on catching the bucket....now, could you please just post this same post every day for the next 365 days? Or, better yet, I'll just give you my email so you can become my personal cheerleader! Maybe then I'll have the incentive to do what I need to do to get my heart rate up (and the numbers on my bathroom scale down!!)
I like that sherrie. Thanks for the insights. :)
