Photographer in Training....

My little TJ LOVES to take pictures. If I don't put the camera away, inevitably he finds it and starts taking pictures of everything from himself, to his sisters, to the TV, to the front porch, to his toys.

One time, a few months ago, I was uploading pictures from my camera to the computer, and discovered that he had taken the camera in his room, and taken pictures of his "parts." I was MORTIFIED! My husband thought it was funny, and that it's just natural for a 4 year old boy to be curious about his body. Needless to say, the pictures were deleted the moment they were discovered, and he and I sat down to have a very serious heart to heart about not taking pictures of yourself without your clothes, and not looking at pictures of people without their clothes, because it's yucky, and our bodies are very special so we need to keep them covered...etc.....

Have I told that story before? If it sounds familiar then sorry, but it's too funny not to tell.

Anyway, I think he's becoming quite the good little photographer. Some of his pictures, I think, are truly amazing.

Here are some example of the G-rated pictures TJ has taken.

That's funny! My daughter was into taking pictures too when she was 4. But then she dropped the camera and broke it. But it gave us an excuse to buy a better one. That's great timing that you found my blog on my facebook page. I just barely put it on there!!

I hadn't heard that story before and I'm still laughing. I can only imagine your thoughts when you downloaded your pictures:D Loved the action shot of Peter and the picture of KJ with the TV behind her.

He's got a good eye! Found the things that are important to him and part of his life. My oldest also loves to take pictures. I found some on the camera today he took of me at the computer. (Surprise, surprise.) My hair was just air dried, no make up......I promptly deleted that one!!!

That is hilarious! He will be so embarrassed when he's older and you tell him that story. I got my little boy one of those fisher price cameras last year and he loves it. He can even load his pics onto his computer.

ARe those TOYS in your stairs? I love that!

My surprise pictures usually involve the toilet and/or my clothing. These are great.

Okay, and this is going to TOTALLY show my ignorance and how much I slept through highschool...I love your picture of the temple at Chicken Itza, and mostly because I thought you were so clever with the Backyardigans reference. Then I realized...uh, duh...that temple was probably there before Chichen Itza Pizza OR Uniqua. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, good for you.
