UEA

It's UEA. That's our Fall Break. That means no school today and tomorrow. I've already reached my statute of limitations pertaining to patience with my children.
We need to find something to do. I mean, other than me hounding them to clean their rooms and get dressed. (I'm still in my pajamas and my room isn't clean, either). I know, what a hypocrite.

So, any ideas on what to do today with the monkeys?

you can play hide and seek! i love that game!!!

you can also make glue ghosts... you get wax paper and smear white glue on there in the shapes of ghosts. let them dry. peel them off...and VIOLA... you have Ghosts!!!

I feel the exact same way! Is duct taping them to their beds against the law??

I am completely clueless. We did a nature walk the other day and made a collage out of the found objects. It was actually quite pretty.

Hi Sher,
I will totally help you with your blurb book. We'll chat soon. Hmmmmmmmmm, as far as fun with the little ones...um,...indoor skating? Remember those, do they still have me? Or if you were me, get them all dressed up in adorable fall attire and do a photo shoot so you can posts the pics for me to see! Seriously, go to antelope or someplace where the fall colors are...snow basin etc. Just a thought. Let me know a good time for us to do blurb! Love ya!

Is it now too cold out in Utah? You can send them out to the backyard to treasure hunt. Give them a list of things to find: a black button, a rock that looks like human face, a cocoon, stuff like that. And whoever finds the most gets a reward. Or even better, send them over to Granma! :-)

I really liked Motherboards idea! LOL
well, how about (for tomorrow, since I'm obviously way behind here) window shopping--Just take 'em to a mall and walk around for a couple hours, then maybe a picnic at the park or something? I don't know, I really like the duct tape idea. :oP

Drive on down to Utah County and I'll treat you to Sonic!! Hours in the car sounds like fun, right?! Got another mom with kids the same age as yours? Get together! Invite her over, or go somewhere together (like a park, not Banana Republic.) Let the kids all play in your backyard. And it gives you a reason to tidy the house. (This is the MAIN reason I invite people over - so I HAVE to clean the house.)

Good luck! I find that switching the door knobs so the lock is on the outside works better than duct tape. They can't get out, but at least they can move around a play. Sometimes a mess is worth it.

Something else I just thought of: make some easy treats (rice krispies come to mind) and dress up in crazy outfits and deliever treats to your neighbors. Wear tutus and weird glasses and funky shoes.....go crazy!!
