Bucket Filler

Are you feeling down, or stressed or anxious?

Let the tears flow. Crying can be very therapeutic. According to Sinatra, "Crying is one of the most cleansing experiences you can go through." Here's why: Deep sobs open the chest and diaphragm, releasing bound-up energy. This helps to free your heart of muscular tension. A good cry also enhances oxygen delivery to the cells and stimulates release of specific neurochemicals in the brain that promote relaxation.

Just know when to quit, and then smile.

It is especially good for me when I have PMS. Totally gets it out of my system. I had a breakdown at work the other day and cried in the back room for 15 minutes, then I felt great.

All these years I've been trying to hold it in. It makes me tougher. Thanks for the information! I think I will just let it flow next time. Because I am a WOMAN, not a Marine.

I rarely cry but I let loose the other day over something stupid. I sure felt great when I was done. Now I know why. Thanks for sharing.

PS- I listened to your music you posted from your CD the other night when I couldn't sleep. So soothing. Thank you!

What a goregeous photo. I am always amazed at how my "blogger friends" can come up with photo posts etc. Little feminine tears are lovely ---however, when I cry (sob) my eyes get all red and swollen and usually snot is running down my nose, and then I start to "dry Heave" (seriously, I DO when I stress out/cry) I DRY HEAVE. Not nearly as glamourous as that photo. But crying is important in healing.

I love me a good release of specific neurochemicals in the brain that promote relaxation. It really does make me feel better. Most of the time.
